Today, I intend to kick my gym habits back to how it used to be, and perhaps a bit more extreme. I joined the gym last July as I became increasingly aware clothes that used to fit me were starting to get a bit snug, to say the least.
Being the food junkie I am, I know (and have tried) that dieting alone would not work for me. Also when it came to having to run for the bus or a quick dash somewhere, my body could not handle a short burst of any form of exercise, I knew something had to be done. So I signed up to a rather pricey gym, reasoning: if it wasn't much money per month, I'd easily put off going thinking "oh it's only 4quid each time I go, I'll get over it" so I pay a lot, which has made me go. It is a snazzy gym with everything you'd need, and the only "luxury" I spend on myself so I let it go.
Anyway, back to the point. Since Christmas I have been a bit slack and not going the 3 times a week I used to, I partially blame this because I have off-peak membership and work shifts, so it doesn't always quite work out. Today I intend to change it to normal membership for a few months, then revert back to off peak.
This change means I can now go any time I want, so I plan to go more more frequently, use more of the facilities it offers me and in the end lose some weight.
So, here goes, my starting weight on 6th April 2010 at 8:30am is 69.3kg. The supposed "healthy" amount to lose per week is 0.5-1kg per week, we'll see how it turns out in time......
To bring this ramble to an end, the whole exercising/weightloss plan is partly as to why I set up this blog. Writing it down make it easier to track how I've been doing, possibly get advice from other people out there and to motivate me to keep it up.
So, the talk is over. Now to go follow up on what I've just said and to get on with it.......til next time folks!
